I wasn’t expecting to hear from the Lord so clearly today, but He met me in the middle of my ordinary motherhood mess and whispered something that undid me. This is what He spoke to my heart. I’m sharing it here just as I received it, in case your weary soul needs the same reminder.
You want to provide for them everything that trauma stole from you—safety, love, stability.
But you haven’t realized that you haven’t fully healed from those areas either.
I made those children in heaven.
Their destiny was marked by the courts of heaven.
There is no damage you can do in their lives, because the blood of Jesus Christ, my Son, has already washed you—their mom.
Every apology, every repenting prayer after losing it, every moment of falling short that you bring to Me does not stick to their hearts or undo anything—
because the chains of generational bondage have been broken by your decision to say yes to Jesus.
You show up, faithfully.
You give it all you have.
And in the gaps, My grace is sufficient.
I will not allow you or your family to be moved.
All you need is trust.
Trust that what I speak is true, and rest in that truth.
The weight of their destiny was never meant to be a burden you carry.
You are already paving the way—by walking in the light yourself, by walking in truth, grace, and forgiveness all your days.
The rest—the messy, the uncertain—that’s for your Father to carry.
Let Me carry it.
I love you.
I know our hearts desperately want to believe this is true—but I also know how quickly the enemy’s voice can rush in and cause us to question it. Maybe that’s the point: faith.
How many imperfect heroes of the faith were told the impossible by God, and yet they believed? They knew their God was faithful and would keep His promises—even when the fulfillment felt distant, or when circumstances seemed to challenge everything He had said. But in the end, His promises always came to pass.
So if your children grow up and take another path, or if they don’t turn out the way we think they should, we have to hold on. We have to cling to our faith in God’s promises—over our children, and over our bloodline.
He is in every piece of the story.
